Personal Haikus

By M. E. Riddle

A Feline hideout

Nestled in society

How could this be wrong?

Church leaders unite

Name the mistreated children

It’s your decision.

The president warns

People he knows well and trusts

Are the ides of March.

Gee whiz Huell Howser

Folksy television host

You up and passed on.

All’s left is John Wayne

And he’s taking a dirt nap

For the rest of time.

For the rest of us

Let’s kept the written word alive

As cruel as it is.
