Seattle

By M. E. Riddle

Avoid the locks

And Gaslight Park

The city at night

And skirts in the dark.

Give me motels

Keys and snow

Things I need for

My possessions in tow.

Salmon and Tsunami

The psyche of dog

Coincidence, circumstance,

The power of God.

Cars, bars,

Motorcades, tirades,

Darts, arts,

Freeway morays.

I lose you win

Always a sin

I’m at home

Naked alone.

Tomorrow,

Begin again.
