This is the story of Milo Dekker. Once a soldier, the captain of special forces unit 241, taken prisoner of war in Afghanistan where he faced the unimaginable for nearly two years... his family thinking him dead all the while. Though this young man faced extreme difficulty in adjusting back to normal life upon his return, his shear brilliance quickly landed him a job with the defense department as a domestic operations code breaker. Yet, hardship was never far from Milo's door. Within a year of his return, Milo finds himself once again in chains--but this time to a very different captor. One bent on "advancing" the human race, rather than destroying it. Yet, when the evolution of mankind can only be reached from the ashes of the innocent, who will stand in the way of "progress?"
