And so they travel

Day upon night

Night upon day

Love had long turned sour

Ruined by years of longing

Years of lust

In a different place

Where the language was odd

And the people; odder

All I knew was that

I did not want to be there

With them

It was like Paris in the spring

Although, I do not know

How, I would know

I had become manic and crazy

Depressed and suicidal

Yet, they were still fifty-nine days away

I found neither solace nor comfort

In this valley of blue

God! Why?

It was a sorry sight watching them go

But I was finally free

Or at least, free as one can be
