So he was scared,. and tired. but if people asked he would probably have only said he was tired. The problem was,. he dared to think, that noone did ask,. not really, . not more than just in passing and that would hardly be the time to mention this,. it just wasn’t the done thing to do. If someone was nice enough to take an interest in your life the least you could do is be nice enough to lie about it, that’s what she had taught him,. and it had done him well enough he supposed, . or at least was supposed to think, . meaning he did,. wholeheartedly,. and that was the end of it,. to question something so set in stone
