I wrote this for a poetry competition when I was 15. Along the way it mutated into a song, and this is the version i present now. I thought I'd put it up here, it bears most hallmarks of the way I write, which is generally whimsical, freely and without a subject. This, however, has one.

Is there something wrong?

Or would you like it if?

I just left you here,

With your loneley mood?

Choose the amber stars,

To give them back to you,

And have a little smile,

'Cos you we're always right.

Then we laugh out loud,

At the fragile sun,

It's broken all it's rays,

And now I'm broken too.

I'm sorry if I never let you know,

I'm sorry that I never let you go,

I'm sorry that this never felt like home,

Just sorry.

Then we laugh out loud,

At the fragile sun,

It's broken all it's rays,

And now I'm broken too.
