This is for my parents, both of whom passed away when i was young - I'm not after sympathy, you can take that elsewhere, just giving the way they held themselves throughout some very tough times the dignity it deserves.

I'm asleep

Inside your bones

I deny that which you want

To live, alive and love.

I am lying,

within your heart

I dissappear, to reafirm

Your infirmity

Like a flower withers and dies

These little flowers too sad too cry

I live inside a house

Both empty and bereft

And like you've never left

A sickly child,

A mother battles in vain

A father standing tall against his pain

And the creeping darkness in her veins

Both softer, softer still

To stand against, to cure the ill

To swallow down the bitter pill

Still unforgiven.
