THE EMPTY GLASS

Poem by: Mezquiteno

Summary

I really don't know what this is. I guess you could call it a non-rhyming poem.

I once held a glass in my hand,
and looking at it I asked myself,
"Why is it so empty?"
I hadn't drank anything from
it yet, what had happend? I
Looked closer and saw that
it wasn't at all empty. As I stared
into it I saw my own reflection.
I saw the reflection of my
eyes, but saw nothing. I continued
to look and noticed the reflection
of my face. I searched for a
gesture, but saw nothing. It was
then that I realized that it was
not the glass who was empty,
it was me.
