When at school, I'm often alone, watching those who pass me by.

So many faces
That pass by me
So many fish
Swimming through this sea.
They just swim on by,
And don't wonder why
That boy is tearing at the seams.

That boy is quite meek
Yet a fire flickers beneath his skin
Threatening to go out.

With each fight it dims
Every tear shed cools its coals.
But it is the invisibility
That extinguishes it entirely.

That boy is invisible.
No tide brings another to him.
So he just sits on by,
And never wonders why
He is tearing.
At the seams.
