Failed Attempts

You’re the basis for my addiction
The only need for contradiction
In this world with no exceptions
I am the one that causes this pollution

My hate for such a hypocrite
I stand alone as this lunatic
Masochist I’ve become, hit for hit
Down I go, knowing I deserve this

Engulfed in what I have created
A realm in which I am hated
For the failed attempts outdated
Now, alone, I just play dead
