Escape is not a reality

Hopelessness becomes home to many

Here on this island of lost souls

The screams of the imprisoned rise

Seeking comfort for renege made

Rotting souls will be the price paid

Held captive by their sins

They realize the folly in disbelief

So here on this island

This island I lay

Embedded by hypocrisy

I’ve come to die, to my dismay

The island of the damned

For saints and sinners have fallen from grace

The shores wash up the dead

As we welcome them to this place

Trees are dead, the rocks are faded

Like the pits of our forsaken hearts

Everything we were was jaded

We pray this bondage lasts but awhile

Holding out our hands we fall

Forgive us our transgressions

But here on the island

This island I lay

I cannot die, to my dismay

Deserving of this sentence I pay
