Her tears running down her cheek haunts my mind,
remembering the sorrow she felt
the pain which burned through me
knowing that there was nothing I could do.
I hold her in my arms,
as my heart breaks
thinking of the child we lost
that never got a chance to live.
I know we must move on with our life,
but how can we when
such torment within my soul
knowing that
there could have been a son
I would have had,
but now is gone
before it even got a chance
to enter the world.
