As with almost anything else considered taboo, marijuana unfortunately carries many myths. These myths are a way of deterring people from ever venturing through the fields of mary jane!! There are so many factitious reports about marijuana; a myriad of fabrications which are almost always reported by people who have never tried it. I figure it would be best to combat one of the largest myths of this luscious botannical wonder--That Marijuana is a gateway drug...

What Statistical data can back up such a claim? In fact, how can one render enough statistics to know who has and has not even tried marijuana? Most databases related to drugs are incredibly skewed, and this is mainly due to the anonymity of users. Why would anyone want to exploit their illegal habits? On personal experience as a former marijuana smoker- and someone who knows many people who have smoked, i can say without a shadow of a doubt that no one i know had ever progressed to more \"mature\" narcotics- and although the demographic i choose to back up my claim of Marijuana not having a transitional effect to stronger drugs is a small one, its a classical example that i feel certain would be echoed by other people thorughout the country....
