Vic

Poem by: MichaelS76

Summary

This is a poem about the first Man that I have ever loved. He taught me that true love knew no age differences. When I first met Vic I was in my early 20's and considered anyone over 30 to be old, how naive was I. I had never had a serious relationship before, nor had I loved anyone like him before, yet I was scared to death of my new found feelings, but Vic put me at ease and taught me what love was all about. He showed me true love, real passion and was a genuine lover and friend and I think of him everyday and love him just as much. I will always love him for we have a bond that no one else shares, it is a place in my heart that shall ever be his and only his.

I once met a man named Vic who became my friend

I had never met someone with such true love in their heart like him.

He would welcome me in his home with a warm embrace

that put a smile on my scared but happy face.

Vic was older than I and at that time I was barely twenty-one

and foolishly I was looking for a youngster like myself for some fun.

But Vic taught me with his soft hands and gentle touch

that love knew no age and a few years meant nothing much.

Over time I was more at ease and grew to love Vic just the same

I would go to his house and we would make love again and again.

Each time I relaxed a little more until eventually I could have fun

he showed me true love like no one else has ever done.

The warmth of his hands running across my naked skin

his bare nakedness against me brought out a fire from within.

Vic has moved away and I have never forgotten his love or his touch

for it was he that taught me true love and so very much.

I now lie awake at night dreaming with eyes open wide

remembering the many times I held Vic close by my side.
