To say what you really mean---yes that's my dare
But you'd rather sit there and look at me with that glare

Wait a second, I thought you said it was fine

You matched your pleasant attitude with mine

What I would do to trade that look for just a dime

I could buy enough things to last three lifetimes

Hold on, I thought you said you didn't really care

That I was perfect and you're weren't being fair

To say what you really mean---yes that's my dare

But you'd rather sit there and look at me with that glare

Pardon my error, but I must've been mistaken

The laws were so clearly written in an invisible pen

How could I have done something so condemed

When you never said that I had once offened

Excuse me one last time but lets make things clearer

You must've heard that I was a mind-reader

Outside there is a line of losers and I am the leader

You're totally correct, I can't look at myself in the mirror
