Alright, so, this is a pretty light horror. I mean, I'm not even 100% it belongs in this genre, but here goes!

Did you see that, May? Did you see that adorable, little duck?

It was rather cute, I must say. I do very much love ducks.

Not any more than I love you, of course!

Father and his men said that I had to get rid of you, my dear May.

They said the most awful things. They talked of the perverseness of our relationship. That a grown woman should be horrified to be seen talking to a doll.

You are no mere doll, my May. You are so much more.

Oh, I have not the faintest idea of how I will handle all of those busy-bodies. I was raised a proper, southern lady, and I act just as a woman befitting my status should. What say do they have in my private life?

Worry not, darling, we know how to deal with men as low as them. We do, don’t we?

Just whisper and tug at their lust.

Promise and warm their greed.

Invite and welcome their gluttony.

Abide by and overlook their sloth.

Inflate and encourage their pride.

Poke and nudge their envy

Ignite and direct their anger.

And watch as the bodies pile up.

Oh, it is such a clever little idea of ours is it not, May?

I do think so, and I would not have ever dreamed of doing such low acts without your encouragement. Without your whispers and thought-provoking observations.

You are my dolly, May, and we must hold dear our friendship.

Just like the ducks do with their kin.
