A A A

I entered the room
It was fairly clear
That this was my destination
The last one of the year
Music as loud as elephants
And bright lights there and here
Everyone in dresses and suits
The end of my school years
And because it was so special
I just had to go
Because someone was waiting for me
Someone I’ve always known
I walk past my friends
They giggle; they know the snitch
I push past my enemy
She is such a bitch
I see my destination outside,
Him staring out at the night sky
I flatten down my dress
And tremble with a sigh
I walk up to him,
He squeezes me tight
And we take each other’s hands
And dance into the night
I hear all my friends dancing
Tinkling with laughter
And I hear his and my heart beat
This is my happily ever after
