I was being watched. Someone has been watching me for so long I’ve grown used to it, no longer does it creep me out no longer am I afraid to leave me house. All I want now is for that someone to reveal themselves, there was no doubt in my mind that it’s been the same person for so long.

Every day I search for them, every day I pray that they show themselves but every day I am disappointed. I’m getting tired of waiting; I went to the place that I first felt his eyes on me today. I sat in the same spot and I sat back and closed my eyes, thinking up who it could be. But nothing ever seemed good enough; I crossed my legs and let my back rest against a tree, I picked up blades of grass one by one and started threading them together, after about half an hour I sighed deeply and looked up.

I nearly jumped out of my skin; someone was standing in front of me. A male about the age of 20 with bright green eyes and a head full of chocolate brown curls, I was in awe of him. He was, without a doubt, drop dead gorgeous but the only thing that seemed out of place was paleness of his skin. I looked down again and with second thoughts I stood up brushing the grass of me. “Hi” I said quietly glancing upwards and the boy’s soft lips quirked but not quite a smile but he said nothing, I stood their awkwardly for a few minutes but my patience wore thin so eventually I rolled my eyes and walked off.

As I was walking I didn’t look back but I knew he was watching me. As soon as I got home I went to my room and lay on my bed thinking. That boy was there for a reason but what was that reason? Why didn’t he talk? Is there something wrong with his voice? Why was skin so pale? Was he ill?

The next day I went to field again and the same boy was there but he was sitting down, I didn’t go any further I turned around and left. For the next two weeks I went back and he was there at the same time, at the same spot. I hung around for a while each day just observing him, one day I saw him get to his feet in one swift moment and as quick as a flash he was right in front of me. Startled I yelped and jumped back “Where have you been?” he asked, his voice was deep and slow, almost seductive.
“How did you move so fast?” I asked, crossing my arms to hide my shaking hands, I was concentrating on trying to slow my heart down.

“I’m not like anyone else” he said softly and I frowned “How old do you think I am?”

“20” I automatically answered

“I’ve been 20 for 36 years”

“Impossible”

“Nothing is impossible” he said and this time he did smile, I saw a glint of some teeth that were too sharp to be humanly possible, I was shaking my head

“It’s like I’m living a fairy tale” I said my voice was shaking; I was starting to feel unsettled the way he was looking at me was different, so intense like he was looking into my soul.

“No, love, this is no fairy tale. It’s your nightmare” he said and smiled widely all his teeth on show but I couldn’t take my eyes of the two sharp teeth that was so obvious, I swallowed and tried to take a step back.

“The girl always gets to run away in the nightmare”

“Not this time” he grabbed me by my arms and pulled me to him, sinking his teeth into my neck…
