My ray of moonlight

When I look at you,
I feel light as a feather.
You’re like my ray of moonlight,
In the dark stormy weather.

We meet in the hall,
Each day we embrace.
Your arms around my shoulders,
And mine around your waist.

I pull back slightly
And brush back your hair.
Your touch grazes my neck,
Feeling softer than air.

I trace the line
Of your soft full lips.
I feel your skin
And reality hits.

Then I cup my hand to your cheek.
Yours grasps mine in a tender touch
And holding it there in place.
It’s starting to be too much.

My heart starts to pound
At the look in your eyes.
My breath starts to hitch
My heartbeat rise.

Your hand at my waist
Sends chills up my spine.
My hand over your heart
Ours beating in time.

You smile your smile
Saved only for me.
My stomach does back flips,
A couple, then three.

Lust flows through my veins
And fire races across my skin.
I swallow hard,
As you lean in.

We are an inch apart
And I catch your eye.
Blue gazes into dark grey
Like the stormy night sky.
