I should never have thought
Or assumed
What your heart thinks
I should have never hoped for possibility
Should not have looked so profoundly
Or made myself believe there was something there

You are not capable of loving me
I'll extend my hand to your heart
It'll turn and walk away
You are the one who walked away
Turned your back on love
I've always been waiting

Can't you see it in my eyes?
Feel it in my touch?
Hear my whispers of impossible yearn?
Taste it when I kissed you?
Does your empathy not know?
Are you so blind that you refuse to step forward?
Are you so stubborn that you can't risk?
If even one is at hand?
Do you see me at all?
What I have to offer?
The love that is pouring out of me?
Love so strong that it hurts
Each and every day that I am not yours?
That you are not mine?

You are so frustrating
I just want to kiss your mind awake
Make you see the potential
Make you see how real this is
How you make my heart beat faster
How you make tears fall from my eyes
How you invade my mind
The things you do to me
I am incoherent
One touch from you
I succumb
