We stood together, face to face. I looked deep into her piercing blue eyes. I lost myself upon the sea of blue; drowning happily within them. She stared back, an indecipherable look. The world around me dispersed. It was just me and her, together. I didn’t take my eyes from hers. I let out a small smile, letting her know I wanted to be with her, hoping she felt the same.

I stepped closer to her placing my left hand on her waist. She tensed at my touch but relaxed to its warmth. I let my smile fade as I moved my head closer to hers, resting it on her forehead, our eyes motionless. The wholehearted gaze became more intense, full of passion. My right hand traced the shape of her jawline, lingering on the side of her neck. I moved in closer, giving her a soft kiss, not wanting to ruin the bliss we were in. Her lips were moist and tender kissing back, our eyes closing. I kept their image in my head not wanting to lose it.

We moved away from the light contact, both smiling though we didn’t know why. We embraced again, still only a short kiss. Our eyes connected again, filled with longing. I closed my eyes taking in her sweet scent while rubbing our noses together. Her hands moved to close behind my neck, not allowing me to leave. I moved my head back taking in her full beauty from the moonlight. Her eyes were pleading but strong; nervous but brave. She kissed my cheek, having to move onto her tiptoes to do so.

“Mike,” She whispered, barely audible. “What does love feel like?” I smiled and looked deep into her eyes. They told me she needed to know, that she felt something stronger then friendship and was taking that next step.

“This.” I replied my voice deep, seductive, full of the passion I was feeling. She dragged me into a passionate embrace. Her soft lips moving in perfect time with mine, opened just enough for her tongue to meet mine. Our breaths ripped out of our flaring nostrils as we tried to keep our desire burning. Our lips were magnets of opposite poles; impossible to separate, meant to be together. I moved my hands to the small of her back and to the back of her neck, pulling her in close, feeling her toned body against mine.

She tilted her head to the side, angling it perfect for our kisses. My mind went blank, I thought of nothing but her: her body, her eyes, her voice. She ran one hand through my hair, sending tingles down my spine, arousing me even more. Our love was clear for any passer-by to see. We were proud to be in love, unafraid of what people thought of it: our adolescent love, one that was unbreakable, unstoppable.

We slowed our frantic kisses. We let them die down until we were just panting in harmony. I loosened my clutch on her, giving us both some room to breathe. We beamed to each other and let out a small laugh as we tried to get our breath back. Still the world was all ours; nobody could disturb it; until my mobile rang…

The phone rang louder than it ever rang before, determined to ruin our perfect moment. I rubbed the back of my head, embarrassed and apologetic. “Sorry ‘bout this” I said to her, still a little light-headed. “Don’t worry; we need to get back anyway.” She replied, laughing it off, “I love you.” She added before I answered my mobile.

“Love you too beautiful.” I said, taking her hand as I answered the call. We continued to walk back home, hand in hand, under the smiling stars.
