I can’t believe that you are just a dream,
Something that I only see when I go to sleep.
When darkness fills my mind,
I get to look into your eyes.
Even though times are rough,
They tell me that I will be fine.
How can I hold you, this time for real?
Your lips, your smile, your heart holds such heavy appeal.
I must make you see, in my head you don’t have to be.
But rather in my arms or even right here beside me.
You never let me down,
You’re never not around.
I can never replace,
The softness of your face.
How can it be? How can it?
I can’t believe that you are just a dream,
Something that I only see when I go to sleep.
When darkness fills my mind,
I get to look into your eyes.
Even though times are rough,
They tell me I’ll be fine.
‘Cause I’ll be fine again,
Just like way back when.
Before I needed you,
It is the least that you could do.

this is a great poem. Reminds me of something I wrote I called "fantasy vs. reality" and it basically about how these two worlds come together and collide. I haven't put it up on booksie.... yet. I was debating whether I should, because i didn't really like how it turned out, but I probably will. well, great job!! Keep it up!
