Today there is rain, rain, and more rain. The rain drops like falling fruit. It is a beautiful event. As the rain falls I stare at the area I live in and see beauty eons old. Forests of tall redwoods tower over all, old farm houses in dilapidation, hills rolling into rivers all leading to the bay. The bay is as deep as an abyss, as green as fresh grass and as lovely as any bonnie lass I have ever seen. Far off in the distance you can see the grey ships of the Army Corps. of Engineers cleaning away the silt of that fair bay. The air is heavy as the drip, drip of the rain falls on that fair bay. It is like poetry in motion, as tree's get watered by the rain. The tree's grow ever taller as the time passes in the city by that fair bay. And time marches ever onward hand in hand with years and still that bay stays fair. Still the rain comes down adding to the water of the bay. Soon that bay will be the only thing I remember of my youth. I'll remember going to the fair bay and collecting shells with my friends and I'll remember how the gentle swishing of waves hitting the rock surrounding the bay sounds like. Sounds like sweet music to my ears. I can hear that swishing now. And I'll sing "Someday I will meet you at the bay/and love will bloom for all my day/and we will live by that fair bay/here forever shall I stay" as I live by that fair bay. And a bloom of love shall fill me then for that fair bay home shall be. I will remember how fair and beautiful the bay is and tears will fall down my cheeks as it is ruined. With my last breath I shall sing a song of love for my home "Someday I will meet you at the bay/and love will bloom for all my day/and we will live by that bay/here forever shall I stay" as my eyes close and darkness overtakes me.
