One politician, colored blue,
Across the aisle a different hue,
Colored red, in case you're blind
Dropped out of school, I think you'll find
Leftover relics from a long-ago age,
They preen and glower in Trumped-up rage
I can't help but hear them, try as I not,
To not impale my T. V. takes all I've got
One law, two laws, three laws and four,
Rammed down out throats, rotten to the core
The will of the people, that's you and me
Democracy be damned, embrace theocracy
It's ignored in a spasm of partisan betrayal
Self-serving deevies, pulled without fail
Putting their wants ahead of good for the nation,
Scream accusations not based in foundation
Yet so desperate are some to believe these lies,
They gobble them up when no truth doth apply
Rabid wolves answering their dog-whistle creed,
To vilify the other side is their go-to need
