"Hi ho, Silver!" are the magic words to begin,

keyboard horses charge, intent on the win.

Literary knights do battle, on an electronic field,

lethal words they hurl, no compassion they wield

like daggers lashed above their typed-out blade,

their sole purpose, convincing, will never fade

Aboard their invisible steed they close ground fast,

never knowing when their next word will be the last

So they enjoin this surreal, serious clash of ideals,

trying desperately to win, and to not know how it feels

to be bested on this sixteen-bit battle zone,

and feel the other knight's words cut to the bone
