It's a Jack The Ripper night on the streets of my mind,
It's long after midnight on these deserted and desolate streets
Fog drips from the dim street lights like a living thing.
A werewolf howls unseen in the distance, a black cat screams,
A hidden siren bleeds a warning like the foghorn in the night.
And here I am, dressed like a hooker in a time machine.
Before I can wonder why I'm wearing a short skirt and heels,
I see a looming shadow on the menacing wall, the outline
Of a razor-sharp blade, soon to plunge me to oblivion.
I turn, lash out at my killer, and scream--my wife wakes me,
Shakes me back to the world--just another freak-ass
