The ringing phone spells doom,

Another invasion into my room.

My personal, private comfort zone.

Time to give the middle-finger dial tone.

Sometimes interrupted fifteen, twenty a day,

They’re the cock suckers who won’t go away.

My blood starts to boil at the first ring,

It’s my noise-pollution ears and ass in a sling.

Refuse to answer before the machine,

These bastard’s really anger my spleen!

They play wack-a-mole with the law,

Always find a way around it, rubbing raw

Your last nerve until you silently scream,

It’s like being caught in a nightmarish dream.

Until one day you snap when the silence ends

When the ringing peace and quiet it rends!
