The Delusion Dance

There's a booty-shaking dance that's the newest craze.

One that reflects and goes perfectly with our latest phase.

The Delusion Dance is this dance's name,

it'll help with guilt as you shift the blame

for supporting literally the biggest prick

to ever come down Pennsylvania Ave, a dick

of hefty girth and tremendous staying power,

f*****g things up worse seemingly by the hour

I actually saw a post on a Pro-Trump site that blamed the division in our country on those of us who resist Trump, and the absolute train wreck of his ignorant, hate-filled policies. Really, if we were docile sheep, and didn't speak out, everything would be happy and peaceful? I submit that some of you are members of the Trump Delusion Cult, have drank the Kool-Aid and think things are great, and there's nothing wrong with an eight grade bully President. If we didn't speak our absolute resistance to a wanna-be dictator, we'd need a new slogan to replace, "America, Land of The Free," how about, "America, Land Of The Used-To-Be."

'What The Hell Happened?'

In the movie 'The Sand Pebbles' Steve McQueen asked at the end,

'what the hell happened?' to knock us out of sorts, and send

us off course? I guess it was some of us fell victim of our times,

we pulled out our mooring from reality, now we've got such a long climb

back to sanity, back to enlightenment, back to who we were,

before complete madness arrived, and The Twilight Zone occurred.

The Twilight Zone because common sense has disappeared in the haze,

individual thinking's gone, and in it's place a sort of daze,

a collective paranoia, some believed the Kool-Aid, a sleepwalking trance

has fallen over us, 'to dream a dream, a nightmare per chance?'
