From years lost in your yesterdays,
come echo's of things that used to be.
Melancholy reflections, happy ones--gateways
of your past color all the spectrum of memories.
Some will haunt, never seem to leave you in peace.
Some bring joy, as the soundtrack of your life plays
in the background, these reminders never cease.
A gentle, or not so gentle, reminder of long-ago days.

I know you usually write about humor and political things but you are actually really good at poetry. This really surprised me; unique and deep. every line was great

Wow! A nice break from your political pieces of late.

A nice piece, Mike! I like this.
