Verse:

I guess I should have seen it coming, this Mac Truck called life.

It's going along peachy keen, then suddenly, there's a knife

hanging out of my back where my happiness used to be.

It never stops--it's like bad luck went on a happening spree.

Pre-Chorus:

Every time I turn around, it's always something new,

It's like a lighting strike on a sunny day--comes out of the blew!

Verse:

Now, I know it's spelled 'blue', but 'blew' seems more apropos.

What better description when things in your life seem to blow?

I've heard it said 'no one likes a whiner', but I don't give a shit.

I guess I don't get a dollar, cause I don't care a bit!

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

When everything went sideways, I guess I Should Have Known,

it's like there was a riot in my soul, and all good things were overthrown.

I guess I Should Have Known that all good things turn bad.

"Have you seen this good news?" I'll ask in a classified ad.

Verse:

A wise man once said, "The sun will rise again!'

I hate that f****r, cause lately, I just can't win!

"Okay, smartass, if you're so 'wise', tell me what I'm thinking now?

I'm thinking I'd like to cave in your head with a shovel, and how!"

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

End
