When it Rains, It Pours
Down comes the rain on your bleak, dark life
Nothing but bad news, nothing but strife
Life takes a perverse pleasure in kicking you when down
Trouble is your shadow; it’s always around
When it comes right down to it, you’ve had no luck at all
You try to wait it out, but you’re guarantied to fall
This is sometimes the way it feels. All
the news is bad, it builds up to bury you
It builds a floor to stand on, but then you fall through
You try in vain to keep a stiff upper lip
Balancing on the abyss, but you’ll surely slip,
and fall and fall into your despair
You forget where you’re going, and you’re suddenly nowhere
How many shots can one person take?
You hope it turns around, for sanity’s sake
