After all, isn't that the question?

There's two main ways to construct a regular poem

Two different ways to make your point come alive;

You either make the lines rhyme, or you don't

This is an example of rhyme;

I use it most of the time,

but sometimes I don't, depending on

How hard I want to think on any given day

With the rhyming kind, you're limited

To words that mirror the previous line

With free verse, the only limitation is your imagination!

Well, you'll need your imagination for the rhyming

Kind also; so I guess what I'm so clumsily trying

To say is I'll just start writing and see where

The words take me, and you, unless

You are so frustrated by my pathetic attempt to write

Something at least coherent, let alone entertaining,

That you've long ago stopped reading

Never mind; please ignore my scribbling

If you thought this was going somewhere, think again;

I'll guess I should just quit while I'm behind!
