Vs.--a poem

Right vs. left in a battle royale,

and not just right vs. left, the extremes.

And the media's laughing all the way to the bank.

Common ground is a thing of the past, or so it seems.

We're left on our own to filter what's true,

and we believe what we want to believe.

We're being ripped off by the media,

who pander to idiots, we're being deceived

into thinking it's 'fair and balanced' coverage,

when it so far and away not.

Each channel brings a boat anchor of views,

an entrenched ideology--apparently they forgot

***

their true purpose in their search for the almighty dollar,

and that's to cover the news, not make it.

The lowest common denominator is preached to,

they serve no one, with their 'no-compromise' bullshit!
