A Circle among Squares

Alone, and no friend in this land

Not one happy smile, nor a friendly hand

Lonely and hated, why must it be?

Who's fault is it? Could it be me?

They make fun of me, I don't fit among them

Like fitting a circle in a square, a lonely man, a single totem

A totem of isolation, a gem among rocks

In layman's terms, this truly sucks

No acceptance, no friend with me

I'd rather be hated than ignored, why me?

Can I not be part, a link in the chain

A screw in the machine, a thane amongst thanes

What sadness I have, alone and ignored

No one can help, now I'm alone and bored

I will look forward to the best days ahead

But for now, I am alone, and left for the dead...
