A player of hearts.
She casts her cards and skips a turn.
She never use to play this game.
This game that consumes her life.

For fair play she warns them to stay away.
Protecting them from becoming her next victim.
The next victim in her love affair triangle.

She speaks with persuasion.
She allures with her eyes.
She charms with false promises.

I hate what she does.
It's like poison invading my veins.
I cry at night to comfort myself.
I pray to discover a cure.
But she prays to discover her next strategy.

I never use to be like this.
I blame it on a boy.
I refuse to become like him.
What I refuse to see, though, is that I am an exact replica of him.

I allow no one to get close to me.
They get mad because they do not see I am protecting them.
Protecting them from a life of indecisiveness, a life of split personalities.
I try to help them realize they can do better.
I try to help them escape.

But she, she does not care.
Because she, she has no feelings.
She is numb to the bones.
Her heart has been pierced.
Her blood has been pour out, so she no longer experiences human emotions.

But me, I am searching for a potion.
A potion to help me escape this body.
To escape this life, this life that is not my own.
