I watch the color of your skin fade,
The tingle in your eyes die.
I fear for the worse,
As I watch you fight for life.

you’ve fought for years,
With only but two hands to hold.
Your parents fled,
In your time of need.

I watch you fade into the bed you lay.
Fading with each breath.
Treatment failed, but your heart is strong.
I hope for your life,
For the sake of my heart.
For I am in love with you, my dear.

I grasp your hand, as you plead for air.
I watch, feeling so helpless.
The ones that love you,
Surround you.
Watching you in your last minutes.
You eyes fade,
Your breathing stops.
We all drop our heads in sorrow.

A loud sob escapes my mouth,
As I fall towards your lifeless body.
I hold you to me, dreading reality.
Pleading this is a nightmare.

But to my despair,
This is real.

Hey, just letting everyone know; i got the idea for this poem from a story im reading. Check it out.
