A positive short essay about the world, nature, art, and how it all connects.

Life is art, but I probably didn’t have to tell you that. Then again, maybe I did. Most people don’t wake up and see the thing in the masterpiece in the mirror. We as humans, do not seem to realize often enough that we are all apart of a wonderful project. This project that is constantly growing.

There are so many intricate parts, so It is hard to look at one and notice the bigger picture. That term is so cliche, but that makes it no less accurate. We are all apart of this “bigger picture”. Even more amazing is that we are only a small part of it. Humans make a small piece of the overall painting. Despite this fact, our part in it is still so very substantial. We work in harmony and sometimes in disharmony with all the parts around us. This then creates a big wonderful, moving work of art.

The plants, animals, sea, and universe creates the rest of this picture. Plants give us beautiful landscapes see, food to eat and air to breathe simultaneously. Animals give us undying loyalty and companionship. Their ferocity and strength also humbles us at times, which I think is important for the human ego. The sea gives us water to drink and coupled with space, mysteries which continue to push our explorative nature.

All of these things live and breathe and move in synchronicity. I do not know how and I believe I will maybe never know. Yet, being able to ponder on it alone is enough to expand one’s consciousness. That alone is beauty. Why we would want to be seperate from all of this beauty is also something I do not understand.

I wonder often why we do not treat all of this big moving picture as if it were beautiful. We often abuse our power, in which we derive from our intelligence. We destroy and disrespect the same environment that sustains our life. Simultaneously neglecting our connection to it all. Yet, I still have hope that just as the few, the masses will awaken to our necessity for growth in this area of our society. We are meant to love and nurture this world in the same way it does for us.

There are many messages and things to be learned from this big picture we are apart of. Yet, the most important one is that of love and compassion. We are wired to have love and compassion within us and to express it. That is something we should remember and implement with every action that we take. If we do this, we will never cease to be apart of this ever expansive picture. Even more importantly, we will begin to epitomize of this picture.

Life is art, though for many of you, I probably didn’t have to explain that. For many spiritual people and artist, they are probably tired of hearing about it. The phrase, “big picture”, is quite cliche. When you take a step back to truly observe this cliche though, it is truly profound. The fact that we, get to be apart of this big beautiful cliche, is a wonderful thing. There is so much to be grateful for in this life and there is so much to learn. I believe that the most important thing that a person can learn is what they can do to add to this big magnificent, moving picture. So in conclusion, I would like to leave everyone who makes time to read this with one question. How will you be apart of the “Big Picture”?
