 A New Beginning for Love

The scars are faded, but the wounds remain

She bows her head as she walks in shame

Everyday she does the same old things

Trying to seal in the undying pains Her heart still broken, the pictures all tore

She loves the pain inviting more

The guy had told her she was only stupid

So when Valentine's came she laughed at cupid

The idea of love was funnier than jokes

Not only stupid but the biggest hoax

She had thought at first the idea was so great

But that had ended on their tenth date

She was in love but that didn't matter

When he told her the truth her heart shattered

He dated her as nothing more than a dare

Him and his friends laughed as he shared

They laughed about her feelings and how they kissed

Which eventually lead her to slicing her wrist

She was hurt and thought about nothing except dying

She spent all of her lonely nights crying

Then one day as she was walking along

Thought everything in the world was going wrong

She saw the new boy smile and walk by

And since that day on she's never cried
