Harriet Tubman is a young slave girl who ran away from her owner. But thats not all she did,she freed the slaves.Harriets owner Edward was running out of money so he said he might sell harriet. One day a women came to Edwards house and bought harriet. She had to sweep and dust andwatch her baby. She knew how to sweep but not dust.Everytime the baby cries harriet gets whiped.I think thats not fair to her.The baby sleeps in a cratle next to  the womans bed.And theres a shelf above her bed with her whip on it.Everytime the baby wakes up or cries, the woman reaches for her whip and hits Harriet. She whiped Harriet so much that she left marks on her neck for the rest of her life. One morning Harriet was standing in front of the table and there were a bowl full of square sugar cubes and they looked so sweet,so Harriet reached over to grab one but when she had one in her hand the woman looked over and saw Harriet.Harriet seen the woman reach for her whip so Harriet ran out the door through the farm. The nights grew dark and Harriet was weak and had no strength. She knew she had to go back.Harriet walked back to the womans house. The woman sold Harriet back to Edward because she was so weak and couldn't do much work.Harriet finally could work outside. She felt so free outside.Do u think that is as far as she'll ever be to free?
