I’m lying on the tracks, barefoot, ready to die.

Little snowflakes falling on my skin. On my nose.

The wind is blowing through my thin white night gown, it’s cold.

All I can hear is the wind, and my deep breathes.

I feel like I’m already dead, I’m so torn up, but I can’t cry.

My throat is dry and my fingers numb.

My body is so stiff I can’t move, I can only breathe.

All I can see are the dark clouds above me, and thousands of snowflakes falling down.

It feels like I’m in space, flying past all the stars. You should try it sometime.

Flashbacks of you standing under my window in the snow flick through my mind.

Your smile, your laughter.

I swallow a sob down.

More images, you telling me that you love me, holding my hand, lying beside me at night.

A small tear escapes my eye and drips down my cheek.

A take another deep breath and slowly let out.

I’m so cold.

I must look like a porcelain doll, lying here so pale and stiff.

I hear a trains whistle and my heart starts pumping with fear.

It’s too late to move even if I tried, I’m too cold.

I can hear your laughter in the distance. I can see you dancing with grandma in the living room, being the perfect gentleman.

I can hear the trains wheels, coming closer and closer, another whistle.

I take one last look at the magnificent sky, then close my eyes.

I can still hear you calling my name, as if you were here with me. It’s peaceful.

The train is so close, I hold my breathe and brace myself for the end.

.

Suddenly  a force hits me and throws me in the air, I hit the ground with a thud.

I open my eyes to see your face in front of me, you’re saying my name over and over again, I can’t hear you, but I can see your lips moving.

I’m not dead, you saved me, and you’re here right in front of me.

I let out a sob and use the last of my strength to lift my arm up and put it on your cheek.

As I die I can feel your lips on mine.

.

The perfect ending.
