I knew a boy,

with a smile brighter than the sun

He was kind, caring

His jokes were second to none.

His voice would put angels to shame.

He aced every class

All I wanted was his Name.

I learned so much more.

I knew a boy,

He was perfection in my eyes.

But he sat alone

and sometimes I heard lies,

They said he was broken.

I didn't believe it.

But he did.

I could see the tears he hid.

I knew he was hurt,

But he wasn't broken.

When I told him.

he would sadly smile.

i knew another side.

I could even bring it out for a while.

I knew a boy,

But one day he changed.

He started to believe lies.

His heart became a broken toy.

They played until it shatters.

He started to think nothing mattered.

His smile vanished.

He lost all his aces.

I never heard his voice again.

His heart I tried to mend.

But he wouldn't let me.

His anger flew free.

To everyone he was broken,

so they threw him away.

Everyone turned on him,

their eye sight so dim.

I knew a boy,

I knew the real him,

He loved to sing.

He acted on whim

He could climb any tree.

He would always help me.

He always held my hand.

He loved his family.

He had eyes that never lied.

He was my friend.

He was my hero.

He saved me.

I knew a boy,

But they took him away.
