As day turns to night,

her smile and laughter turns to a frown.

With not a friendly face in sight,

she wanders around in her gown.

Memories of her childhood come and go,

sitting, reminising of those better times.

When her heart had a glow,

and when her youth commited those innocent crimes.

When she used to roam London lanes,

til those early hours.

When she still had her youthful beauty and brains,

now her eyes slowly close, goodnight Emily Dowers...
