I had a crisis yesterday,
And you were nowhere to be found.
And that is when it finally hit me.
Life just isn't the same when you aren't around.

I miss confiding in you.
You always listened and seemed to care.
I could have listened too,
But not giving me that chance just wasn't fair.

I had no idea you were so sad.
You always seemed so strong.
I guess you flashed your bright smile
To pretend that nothing was wrong.

When I first heard the news,
I’ll admit, I was so angry with you.
You left me all alone,
But I guess it was something you had to do.

I understand it all now,
And it rips me all apart.
You may not be with me anymore,
But you will always have a place in my heart.
