Those people, they wear masks.
It is such a hard and tedious task
To hide what you really feel
But I do understand the high appeal

To choose how people see you,
And the emotion that you depict, too
No more judging or pitying looks
Or trying to hide your face behind books

Those people, they wear masks
To avoid the questions that people will ask.
They put on a smile and bright eyes
Just so that no one will realize.

I wish I owned a collection of my own.
If only I could order some over the phone.
But they do not sell masks on the late night commercials
And I do not see them on the infomercials.

Those people, they are smart.
They can play any part.
I want their role
Before I succumb to my own soul.
