They knew that they were driving too fast
And it was raining that night.
But they did not see that car coming.
Now there are red and blue flashing lights

The cars hit each other head on
And now were totaled beyond repair.
The ambulances were waiting
To take them into intensive care.

The man driving the other car
Died on the way to the hospital.
They tried everything to save him
But his injuries were too fatal.

It took over two hours
To get the others out of their car.
The man was unresponsive
But the woman was worse by far

They finally her got into surgery
And the doctors did everything they could.
The bleeding stopped and her brakes were set
Now she just had to awake, if she ever would

The man survived it all
And thought he was at fault
For putting the girl in a coma
And bringing her life to a halt

Now he stands on the street
Where a year earlier a terrible accident occurred
Looking at a memorial for his sister.
His eyes watered and his vision blurred.
