Photographs hang on my walls,

To remind me that my life has some worth,

Pictures of better times, worse, and okay,

In them we see a smiling face,

Its not what the picture shows,

Its what happens before and after the camera goes,

That’s what defines the moment,

Not the location, the people, or the smiling faces,

It’s about what you remember, about how you felt,

Not what people see, and in those moments of faked emotions, knowing that you had to put on a good face to give off the appearance that everything was fine, well in every photo it makes my heart melt.
