In the cemetery under the willow tree.

It weeps not for the dead but for the dead in me.

Cold above, beneath and all around,

mocked by those warm below the ground.

Shadows of days past and what might have been.

Pulling reaching rending the soul within.

Yet the sun will rise and the soul will mend.

Until the night returns once again.

Yet the sun will rise and the soul will mend.

Resplendent and redeemed ne'er to be torn again.

In one last breath of gratitude's unfailing song

for the ability to rise and continue to walk on.
