Hi Eileen and Danke! I posted this one and refuse to translate it for anyone other than Gary. I have a hot plate I brought back from Stuttgart years ago that has this paticular poem on it. I know what it says and it hangs as a plaque in my kitchen. I read it often and it always gets a smile out of me. You are so welcome my dear friend. You do so much for me and all the others here. I wanted something we could share. Susan :)
SCREIBEN= SCHREIBEN sorry for my typing error

MADNESS IN INK
I know what part of it says. Not a high German dialect. I can assume from the pictures what the rest of the poem is about. Ha! Love it that you posted it for Eileen. Nice job! M
Hi M and thank you. I think Eileen enjoyed it and Chiqui did as well. Susan :)
Okay so I used on line translate, but some of it did not carry over. Share this one with me. Nice you posted it for her. The pics are sweet!
Hi Daniel. I have to send it via e-mail. Slip me your address and I will fill in the blanks. Thank you. Susan :)
Must be pretty good or dirty if you don't want to tell. I think I will take Daniel's advice and use that translate thing if I can find it. Love the pictures. Cute!

Hi Myra and thank you. Will e-mail it to you. Susan :)
I remember parts of this. Do you know a land where every one laughs and the end Oh Schwabenland beloved land how wonderful are you. The rest is a bit sketchy but I know it's funny. Nice! Angie :)
