I am a little soldier
I do not cry
When my dad does not arrive
I do not scream and yell
When he forgets special events and times
I can't because
The what soldier am I?

Soliers don't cry
They don't throw a fit
When something doesn't go their way
They stiffen their upper lips
And go out to battle anyway

You don't come home
You don't call
But I learned
Not to put my life on hold

I learned how to be a soldier
I now fight in a war
And when I get hurt
I cry no more
I go back into battle

I am a little soldier
And I won't quit
Until I win this raging war
