You don't know her.
She sits in her room caged like a helpless bird, eyes full of unused tears.
Trying desperately to escape, not overcoming her fears.
Her body is full of sensitive bruises, charcoal black and midnight blue.
It doesn't matter when they fade, they'll come back anew.
She doesn't tell or let anyone know.
They'll just take her away and make her mother go.
She loves her mother dearly, despite the pain she causes her.
The truth is she'll never be able to hate her mother and that just makes it harder.
When her mother comes home, and takes out her anger and stress, the pain is unbearable.
She wants to tell someone, she wants to confess.
She goes to school concealing her true self.
Nobody cares, or is aware that in the inside she's killing herself.
